Ende Januar 2017 erschien in der „Schweizer Familie“ ein Artikel über einen Patienten des Schweizer Paraplegiker-Zentrums. Aufhänger für den mit viel Feingefühl gestalteten Bericht waren Ergebnisse der Schweizer-Paraplegiker-Forschung zum Thema „posttraumatisches Wachstum“.
